Ann Hamilton has a passion for photographing weddings and dogs. American PHOTO Magazine named her as as "One of the Top 10 Wedding Photographers of 2009." The Knot Magazine named her "One of the Best Wedding Photographers" for Northern California 2010. She is also published in several books by Amherst Media, including the "Best of Digital Wedding Photography." Ann's dog work is featured in Photo District News (PDN), Rangefinder Magazine, Daily Candy, and the Yahoo! Flickr app for iPhone available in the Apple iTunes Store!

I'm excited to finally share that Yahoo! is featuring my dog images (and some wedding images, too!) as part of their marketing campaign for the new Flickr iPhone app!
Flickr is one of the world's leading online photo and video sharing communities where people explore, find and manage pictures and video clips of life's daily moments with friends, family and the world. With 54 million worldwide visitors each month and more than 2 billion photos stored by 27 million members, Flickr serves as the 'eyes of the world' and has revolutionized the sharing and discovery of what people see and experience through digital imagery. Flickr was developed by Ludicorp in February 2004 and acquired by Yahoo! in March 2005.

| Top 10 Wedding Photographer of 2009! |

I'm excited to share that I was chosen by the editors of American Photo magazine as one of their "Top 10 Wedding Photographers of 2009." What an honor! Thanks to all those who made this possible. I love what I do, and I'm lucky to have great clients who allow me to be a photographer. This is definitely one of those "defining moments in my life," and my dad, who was always so supportive of my business, would be so proud.

Today I received an email from the editor at Project Wedding letting me know that they've selected one of my images to grace their home page all this week! The image is from Anna + Seth's gorgeous May wedding last year at Manka's Boathouse. Makeup and hair by the talented Sherrie Long.

Yesterday I received a note from one of my past clients, Amy, (I had photographed her sweet lab, Keely, a while back), that I was mentioned in an article she was interviewed for yesterday's Sunday San Francisco Examiner. How exciting! I was pleased to find that I also use many of the wonderful pet services Amy mentioned in her article.
Amy is editor of DogTime.com, a web site dedicated to keeping dogs out of shelters and in good homes by equipping owners with trusted and authoritative information. Please visit her site and show your support. It's chock-full of information for pet owners.

Happy New Year!
I thought about what I could blog about as my first entry for 2009 and I thought I'd post my interview on F-Stop Beyond, a podcast for photographers about photographers created by my friend, Ron Dawson. Though the interview took place back in October, I agreed that it would be a fitting post for today.
As we enter a brand new year, I hope we all take time to reflect on what's most important in our lives. Spend time with your loved ones, and make that time count. Take time to breathe. Send a hand-written note to someone who hasn't heard from you in a while. Visit an old friend. Take a long-awaited trip. Tell your parents how much they mean to you. Spend an extra 30 minutes at the park with your dog instead of rushing home to get on the computer. Turn off the TV and read a book. Share a movie with someone you love. It's a new year to be good to you, and to those who care about you.
I hope 2009 brings us all much happiness, success, health, love!

I'm excited to share that my dog images are featured in "The Style Issue" of Design Aglow!
I'm so flattered to have my work featured in this issue, which Design Aglow touts as their "BEST issue to date... filled with amazing talent in over 350 pages of beautiful inspiration."
The magazine is an online resource filled with tons of information and inspiration for wedding and portrait photographers. A while back, Design Aglow also featured both Gene Higa and I in their "West Coast" issue, showing off our lovely boutique studio and my pug, Bogie. You can read the full article here.
